Final Electoral College Counts are In

 Georgia has indicated that they are done counting for the second time and have certified their election results thus pushing Biden electoral college count to 306 and nearing 80 million in the vote count. Mean while President Trump and his allies have filed lawsuits alleging election irregularities or improper ballot-counting procedures in five states where President-elect Joe Biden leads. 

Some suits seek to delay state officials from certifying final results, a rare step that judges likely would be reluctant to take without proof of irregularities significant enough to change the election outcome, according to legal analysts. Judges have rejected several Trump campaign and allied claims.

Biden, 79 million votes and Counting

 Votes are still being counted one week after election day. In an election cycle that has seen more than 150 million votes, President-Elect Joe Biden just passed 79 million votes.  Update Nov 30 Biden total is over 80 million, while incumbent president Trump is at 73.9 million.

New Chicks Arrive

 The Eggs began hatching on 11/13, just one, but on 11/14 eleven chicks hatched. I am truly amazed at nature. In all my reading of hatching chickens, it is said to keep the incubator at 99.5 degrees farenheight, and between a certain humidity.  Well during this incubation period, we had three power outages. One on the 2nd day of incubation, one on the 15th and another on the 16th day.  As of the time of this post we had a success rate of just below 50 %.  The chicks that have hatched were a day late, so it appears that the outages delayed the development. The batch of chicks that have hatched so far are   9 Black Copper Marans , one blue egg and two brown eggs from the school flock.

Wednesday Nov 11 Veterans Day

 On Wednesday, November 11 we honor all who have served in the US military, including but not limited to my father (US Navy) and my grandfather also US Navy. I opened my classroom doors on this day in hope of having some students who might want to come to class for a quick check-in.  Unfortunately, I guess I am too optimistic, besides it was not required of them and it is also a national holiday.  My classroom was open from 8 AM to 8:30 AM.

In America, there is a technology in development called HYPERLOOP. Hyperloop was first mentioned by Elon Musk. There are a few companies in development. Virgin, Hyperloop TT. There is a full-scale model in the Nevada Desert. Experts predicting that this technology may be available as soon as the end of this decade and as early as 2026. When completed can reach speeds of  600 MPH.

It's very close - No winner declared as of Nov 4 in the AM. There were 10 states still up for grab.

Biden is leading in the popular vote but 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency.
